WE GOT HER!!

Well, here she is!! We spent the morning trying to distract ourselves. Shopping, hair wash and hair cut for Chris, changing money, eating. After we waited around for a while, it was 3:00 and time to go! We crossed the crazy street frogger style and went to meet our girl.

Anna was not so happy to meet us. She was ok and then Chris got too close and she let loose. She calmed down for a while but when we got back, she had had enough of us. She was hungry, tired and had a bit of a stuffy nose. She finally fell asleep on my chest and slept for 30 minutes before waking up angry. After a leisurely bottle (over an hour) she was happy. She even gave Chris a little laugh. She seems shy but feisty. Here are some pics and we are off to bed (Anna is already out- no tears this time).

Anna and Mommy for first time together.
I don't like that butterfly before nap.
Caught a happy smile! These people might be ok after all.

Actually (I've heard that word a lot lately}, this is from Mimi.
the machine does not like my name or me. I typed a cool comment this am, couldn't send it and Alan came home and lost it. When we first saw Anna this am, Daniel said, "Oh Mimi, look at her cute nose and mouth, she's a beautiful girl." He was so excited- so were Jonathan and Sam. They saw a toddler Chinese girl with her Mimi at Target this am and were so excited that she looked like Anna. We barely made it through the checkout line. Sam came downstairs with the plastic tiara thing from Stephanie's bachelorette party -Look, I found a special toy for Anna to play with, Mimi, she can dress up like the girls at Sleeping Beauty. He didn't know I had saved that item just to go with a "dress-up princess" outfit. Just that quickly, he's learning to think like a girl. Oh by the way, he is not going to be 4 on his birthday he will be 7- nothing less will do!! We all love her already!!

Aaaaaaaaaaa! I AM SCREAMING!!! What a wonderful way to end my day, with that picture of a beautiful baby girl and her mama!!

And it made me tear up that you got her to sleep on your chest. And that she woke up angry (fa-mil-iar).

Praying and praying for all of you.

CONGRATULATIONS!
